Florida Senior Championships - Friday and Saturday Results

On Friday, Ryan swam in the finals of the 200y free and finished first with a time of 1:35.88. He also finished first in the 100y fly with a time of 47.52. The fly must have been a very exciting race because Ryan beat Shaune Frasier by only .16.

On Saturday, Ryan swam in the finals of the 200y IM and the 500y free. He placed first in the 200y IM with a time of 1:44.88, and his breaststroke leg was where he really pulled away. In the 500y free, Ryan got beat by his training partner Peter Vanderkaay and finished second with a time of 4:21.77. Peter's time was 4:20.

Saturday's finals were live on ustream thanks to Swimmer Joe, http://twitter.com/SwimmerJoe
A recording can be found here: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/12963527. The 200y IM is at the 50 minute mark and the 500y free is at the 2:01 mark.

http://ryanlochte.com/

The page is currently under construction, and will be up and running on March 1.

I'm very excited, but I hope whoever is entering the information will make sure it is accurate. For instance, his bio currently says:

Ryan Lochte is an American swimmer and a six-time Olympic medalist (three gold, two silver, one bronze). As part of the American team, he holds the world record in the 4×200-meter freestyle relay (long course). Individually, he currently holds the world record in the 200-meter individual medley (long and short course) and the 400-meter individual medley (short course).

Ryan's Olympic medals are three gold, one silver and two bronze. I hate to be picky but it is his official site!

Interview with Laszlo Cseh

http://swimnews.swimfacts.com/in-the-arena/

I always like reading about Laci Cseh, particularly because it is so hard to find information about him in English. Here is an interview published by swimnews.com in which Laci names Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte as two of his biggest rivals.

I'm surprised he didn't name Tyler Clary as a rival, as they both swim the same events - 200m fly, 200m/400m IM. I guess Tyler hasn't been around long enough in international competition for Laci to think of him.

It's an interesting interview. Needless to say, Laci trains very hard.
