USA Swimming announced the men's and women's teams for 2011 Worlds in Shanghai. Ryan will be swimming the same events he won 6 gold medals in at Pan Pacs - 200/400m IM, 200m back, 200m free and the 400m and 800m free relays.
The big surprise for me is that Aaron Peirsol was not named on the team. Does this mean he retired? I hope not.

if peirsol is not there, that leaves a good chance for ryan to be in the 4x100 medley relay to swim the backstroke.
It would be great if Ryan swims the medley relay. Nick Thoman and David Plummer qualified for the 100m back, but if Ryan is having a great meet I suppose he may be put in the relay ahead of them, kind of like in Dubai.
