Ryan was 8th in the 100m free with a time of 50.63, faster than his prelim time of 50.78. Taehwan Park won with a time of 48.92.Ryan also finished 8th in the 100m fly with a time of 54.55. Michael Phelps was first in 52.41
Tomorrow is the 400m IM. It will be interesting to see how Ryan's knee holds up. Fingers crossed.

Not good. I don't think he will be ready for Shanghai next month....
He hasn't tapered yet. He'll be ready.
We agree with hoipolloi, he isn't tapered. He is seeded 1st going into tonight's final for the 400 IM. That's what was concerning, that's a much bigger test. No, it's not a blazing WR time but obviously no one else is swimming much faster. Everyone looks pretty beat up. Lochte will be ready for Worlds. Remember Nats last year? Yeah, he'll be just fine.
