I would have LOVED to watch Ryan swim in today's finals. Not only did he place 1st in both his events (by a lot), his times were incredible.
100m Back
53.95 - 3rd fastest time in the world in 2009. His time is right up there with guys who were swimming in their national championships, whereas Ryan was swimming in a sectional meet during hard training. Ryan won by more than 4 seconds. Incredible.
200m IM
1:59.96 - 4th fastest time in the world in 2009. Eric Shanteau was faster at the Austin Grand Prix (1:59.31). Still, very impressive swim for Ryan and he won by more than 8 seconds.
